Rules for Resolving Conflict
1.
Set aside enough time to work through the conflict
2. Have a clear goal.
3. Don't use the accusatory word "You," such as "You
did" or "You made me feel
"
4. Use the word "I" to describe how you feel.
5. Stay on target and only discuss the issue at hand.
6. Avoid using one-liners, such as "You're impossible"
or "I'm leaving you."
7. Remember that you are really both on the same side-your marriage.
